Warm & friendly birth doula support in Buckinghamshire

Birth Doula Support
In Buckinghamshire
You know deep down that your birth experience is too important to just go with the flow. You’re feeling drawn towards something different, where you feel heard, supported and in control of your own journey. Whether you're dreaming of a water birth, questioning the maternity care you've been offered or healing from a previous experience that didn't go the way you'd hoped, I’m here to help you explore what feels right for you. A birth on your terms is possible and as your doula I'm there to support you as you navigate each step.
Helping you feel informed, confident and supported
Hospitals & Trusts I cover: Buckinghamshire (Stoke Mandeville), Berkshire (Wexham Park, Royal Berkshire), Oxfordshire (John Radcliffe, Oxford Spires, Wallingford), Hertfordshire (Watford General).
Here's what you can expect from me as your Doula
From the moment you book me as your doula, I become part of your team. I’m here to support you practically and emotionally through pregnancy, at the birth of your baby and during those first weeks with your newborn.
IN PREGNANCY
We’ll spend our antenatal sessions exploring your hopes and feelings around birth and caring for your baby. If you have an appointment that leaves you with questions to work through, as your doula I’ll be there to help you do that. I can even come with you if you’d like that extra support.
Together with your birth partner we’ll prepare for labour, birth and the early weeks with your baby so you feel confident, listened-to and supported.
FOR YOUR BIRTH
I’ll be on call for your birth 24/7 from 10 days before your estimated due date until your baby is born.
I’ll support you wherever you choose to have your baby. I’ll be with you during labour and birth and I’ll stay with you until you feel settled with your baby.
I’ll know your birth preferences inside out and will be advocating for you and supporting you and your partner.
POSTNATALLY
I’ll visit you during the first week after your birth so you have the chance to reflect on your experience if you’d like to.
You’ll then have me “in your pocket” during the first four weeks as you navigate life with your new baby — able to call or message whenever you need support or reassurance.
You also have the option to book additional one-to-one postnatal support at home, whether that’s a listening ear, help around the house, or simply someone to hold the baby while you rest.

Essential Birth Doula Package
£1,800
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Support from your third trimester onwards (around 27 weeks) via voice notes and messages. I want you to feel like someone truly has your back — whether that’s navigating the maternity system, exploring your options for birth, building confidence or simply having a check-in and a chat when you need it.
Two 2-hour antenatal visits in your home to help you feel prepared for birth. During these sessions we’ll explore your options, talk through the recommendations that may come your way and work together on your birth preferences and birth plan. I’ll also get to know you and your birth partner better and understand what matters most to you. All packages include an additional coffee catch-up as you approach (or pass!) your estimated due date if you’d like one.
24/7 on-call support for your birth from 10 days before your estimated due date until your baby arrives. We’ll discuss exactly how and when to contact me. (If labour starts earlier, I’ll do everything I can to be there to support you.)
Continuous support during labour and birth, wherever you choose to have your baby. I’ll be a calm, familiar presence from when you need me, throughout labour and until you feel settled after your baby arrives. I’ll know your birth preferences inside out and will be there to support both you and your partner.
A postnatal visit at home, where we can reflect on your birth, chat about how things are going and check in about feeding - and I’ll make you a hot drink.
Ongoing support for the first four weeks after your baby arrives. My care doesn’t stop at birth. You’ll be able to message or call whenever you need reassurance, guidance or simply someone who understands the early days with a newborn.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a Doula. Steph was recommended to me from a friend who had attended her pregnancy yoga sessions, and as soon as I met her I knew that we would get on. Steph’s calm demeanour and experience were invaluable throughout my later pregnancy and during birth. She offered fact based support and pointed me to articles, podcasts and books so that I could form my own opinion and make decisions that were best for me and my baby.
My waters broke without any other signs of labour and Steph was there with me to work through options and alternatives with the midwifery staff so that I didn’t have to compromise on the things that were important to me during birth.
I would highly recommend Steph as a Doula. I have thoroughly enjoyed having her by my side, sharing her knowledge and helping navigate the maternity system as well as providing clarity to conversations and translating the jargon used by medical staff.”

We were looking for a doula to assist with the birth of our baby daughter as I had some non-standard requirements and was looking for someone to help us navigate the system and keep us calm during what could be a stressful event. We contacted Steph after receiving two separate recommendations from contacts in the local area.
Steph proved an invaluable asset in helping us to manage labour and liaise with the hospital staff to ensure that our wishes were respected when we came up against a stressful situation. She was calm, professional and a pleasure to deal with at all times. She was also very responsive when we needed guidance both before and after the birth, going out of her way to support us when I was struggling on the postnatal ward following some complications. We would not hesitate to recommend Steph to anyone looking for support during their birthing journey as we have no doubt that the experience would have been much more difficult without her support - we really cannot thank her enough for all that she did to support us.”

I also offer postnatal support
£40 per hour
We're often so focused on birth that we forget to give any meaningful thought to the postnatal period, but becoming a mother is a time when you need to feel settled, to rest and have the space to get to know your baby. My postnatal support is built around your needs and could be anything from lending a listening ear to doing some light house work to holding your baby while you have a nap/ shower/ take a break. I meet you where you're at in your early days and weeks of motherhood. Please note I currently only offer postnatal support to my birth doula and pregnancy yoga clients.

-
Where to give birth;
