As a hypnobirthing teacher I’m passionate about supporting you to feel strong, calm and confident however you're preparing to meet your baby so classes have hypnobirthing and birth prep woven throughout.
You'll find a relaxed & welcoming space where you can take time out to tune into your body & your baby and meet other pregnant people in the area. I can’t wait to see you on the mat! No yoga experience needed.
WHY COME TO PREGNANCY YOGA?
Yoga during pregnancy is amazing - for your body, your baby and your mind! Taking time out to tune into your body and connect with your baby during a class helps you to feel calm and prepared for birth.
The yoga poses we practise in class are all suitable for the second and third trimesters and are chosen to help alleviate the aches and pains that come with pregnancy. We practise breathing techniques that will relax you during pregnancy and that you'll find super helpful during labour too. Moving your body will create balance in your pelvis, supporting your baby to find an optimum position for birth. Plus you'll gently build strength, preparing your body for birth and the postnatal period.
A recent study into the effects of practising yoga in pregnancy concluded that "Evidence highlights positive effects of pregnancy yoga on anxiety, depression, perceived stress, mode of birth and duration of labour.” (Corrigan et al 2022)
The social side of my pregnancy yoga classes also means you'll have an awesome network of mum friends during pregnancy and once your babies are born. We have an active WhatsApp group and meet up once a month for coffee and cake - with bumps and babies!

Not a break from motherhood but an essential part of it
My Mum & Baby Yoga classes offer warm and friendly support through the early months of motherhood. As mums we put everyone else’s needs first which means caring for ourselves inevitably drops down the list of priorities. I’d love you to take the first step in bumping yourself to the top of that list by booking a Mum & Baby Yoga class!
In this class YOU are the main focus. It’s a gentle reintroduction to movement following your baby’s birth: a chance to give your body some much-needed TLC with stretches to ease your achy shoulders and back, breathing to calm your nervous system and yoga to strengthen your amazing body.
We do all of this with babies on the mats with us (of course we do - we’re multitasking mothers!) and we involve them so they're engaged and having fun, but it's firstly about supporting your body through movement.
We finish with gentle yoga for your baby to enhance their physical development, language skills and coordination. There’s time at the end of class to grab a coffee from the adjoining cafe and enjoy a relaxed chat with like-minded mums. So if the thought of getting out of the house to a baby class is overwhelming, I promise you won't regret joining this one 🤍

"Steph's mum and baby yoga classes are wonderful. They provide a chance to stop, relax and have some one to one quality time with your baby which can be so hard in the crazy busy world we now live in. Steph provides a welcoming environment and you leave the class feeling like you have had a warm fuzzy hug. A definite must for your maternity leave." Ruth, Amersham
