If you're expecting a baby, you've probably spent a fair amount of time thinking about giving birth. It's completely normal to feel apprehensive about what to expect or worried about how you'll cope. This is where my hypnobirthing classes can really help!
What is hypnobirthing?
In a nutshell, hypnobirthing is a set of tools and techniques which you and your partner can use to help relax your mind and body and reframe the way you think about birth. The name 'hypnobirthing' doesn't do it any favours in my opinion - it has nothing in common with stage hypnosis – you will be in control all of the time, conscious of your surroundings but able to use breathing and relaxation to help you in labour.
By using hypnobirthing to prepare for the birth of your baby, you’ll also be getting to know your body, your mind, your baby and all of the options available to you. As well as the amazing relaxation, breathing and fear-releasing techniques you'll learn, during the course we also look at decision making and how to navigate the maternity system so that you feel confident and prepared. As well as this I'll help your partner to be the most relaxed and confident birth partner they can be!
And the brilliant thing is, even if your journey to birth changes, which we know it can sometimes do, everything you'll have learnt will help you to stay calm and feel well-prepared.
